Smith gave the Sky at 98-96 lead with 1:19 left in overtime on an inside basket. Evans hit a 3-pointer to stretch the edge to five points, and she added another basket with 26 seconds left to clinch the win.

Chicago (5-3) had five players sidelined, leaving the squad with only eight in uniform.

The Sky emerged from the first quarter with a 26-25 lead behind Mabrey, who scored 10 points.

Wheeler and Mitchell scored the first two baskets of the second half to extend Indiana's lead to 10. Chicago then went on a 13-3 run, including a pair of Copper baskets and an Evans 3-pointer, to tie the score.

The Fever made four free throws before the quarter ended to take a five-point advantage into the fourth.

Boston scored in the low post with 2:30 left for an 85-82 Fever lead.

Copper made three of four free throws to tie the score, but Boston scored on consecutive possessions around an Evans hoop to give Indiana an 89-87 advantage. Copper tied it again with an inside basket with 10.3 seconds left.

Wheeler missed on Indiana's next possession, but Boston secured the rebound and scored on a putback with 2.7 seconds to go. Smith then made a layup just before the final buzzer to send the game to overtime.
